ERC grantee Maria de Lurdes Rosa is keynote speaker at the 5th International Conference Medieval Europe in Motion, that also has the participation of Mário Farelo, PhD Researcher at VINCULUM.

This event will take place in the historical landscape of Batalha, in the medieval monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a monumental site ordered by King João as ex voto for the victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota.

The conference is held on the scope of “Materialities and devotions (5th-15th centuries)”, overviewing the development of studies on material culture in the last decades.

Entails will be address within this international meeting as of recent historiographical perspectives and as material components of family ostentation of devotion and charity.
