Conference “À descoberta dos morgados e capelas de Guimarães”

On the 10th and 11th May the VINCULUM project will organise in Guimarães the meeting “À descoberta dos morgados e capelas de Guimarães”.

On the first day, researcher Ana Mafalda Lopes will be at the Santos Simões Secondary School to inform the students about the archival research carried out by the project.

On the morning of the 11th, the meeting will begin at Sociedade Martins Sarmento, with the participation of researchers Alice Gago (winner of the Alberto Sampaio 2020 prize) and Filipe A. Moreira. In the afternoon, the sessions will take place at the Alberto Sampaio Museum, with a presentation by Professor Maria de Lurdes Rosa (principal investigator of the project) and by researchers Ana Mafalda Lopes, Miguel Aguiar and Rita Sampaio da Nóvoa, who will display the work carried out by VINCULUM, with a particular focus on the entails in Guimarães. One of the sessions is part of the “Acordar História Adormecida” initiative, promoted by the project in April and May.

The meeting includes two visits on the final day: a guided tour of Sociedade Martins Sarmento in the morning, and a free visit to the Alberto Sampaio Museum at the end of the event.

Admission is free.
