VINCULUM Project featured in Jornal de Notícias
The latest edition of JN História magazine highlights the work carried out by the VINCULUM Project.
The article, prepared by the VINCULUM team, introduces the reader to the various areas in which the project has been working, explains the work done so far and gives a glimpse of the first results of the research.
Starting with the study of the long-term entailed estates, the article demonstrates how to build and manage a database of people and documents, protect and publicise archives and “communicate science” (in a rapprochement between academia and the community – schools, municipalities, archives, etc.).
The article also highlights the contribution of this project to the latest historiographical debates, both national and international, around individual property, its management and maintenance over more than 300 years.
